Consul General Ivana Stojiljković on Official Visit to the Serbian Orthodox Church in Rijeka
During a warm and meaningful conversation, views were exchanged on the importance of preserving the spiritual life and cultural identity of the Serbian community in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, as well as on opportunities to deepen cooperation between the Consulate General and the Serbian Orthodox Church.
Protoiereus Galamić informed the Consulate representatives about the history of the church and the activities of the parish, emphasizing the role of the church as a vital pillar in bringing the community together and preserving its identity.
Consul General Stojiljković expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome and reaffirmed the Consulate’s readiness, within its scope of work, to support initiatives that contribute to preserving identity and strengthening unity.
The visit took place in an atmosphere of mutual respect and shared commitment to nurturing traditional values and the bonds between the homeland and the Serbian community in Croatia.
