Addressing the attendees, the Consul General welcomed the participants, organizers, and guests, emphasizing the importance of cultural and academic cooperation as a vital bridge connecting nations and institutions, as well as the role of young artists in strengthening international dialogue and understanding.
Professor Ivan Karlavaris is one of the prominent Serbian photographers and university professors. He is the son of Academician Bogumil Karlavaris (1924–2010), a distinguished painter, educator, and university professor, who dedicated a significant part of his creative and scientific work to Rijeka and Kastav. Bogumil Karlavaris was a long-time art editor and one of the most prominent contributors to the children's magazine "Bijela pčela" (The White Bee), the only children's periodical in the Republic of Croatia published in the Cyrillic script since 1994.
The exhibition was officially opened by the Mayor of the Municipality of Lovran, Bojan Simonič, who is also the patron of this event.
The exhibition gathered students and professors from art academies worldwide, showcasing the most successful achievements of young authors and once again confirming the significance of international cooperation in the fields of culture, education, and the arts.
