On behalf of the Republic of Serbia, the opening ceremony was attended by Consul General in Rijeka, Ivana Stojiljković, who welcomed participants of the panel discussion and expressed support for the involvement of Serbian representatives in this regionally important initiative.
The “Sensa” festival, one of the oldest cultural events on the island of Krk, is dedicated to preserving the pastoral and livestock traditions of the region, and includes numerous programs in the fields of culture, gastronomy, and spiritual heritage.
Serbia, along with Montenegro, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic, participated in the presentation of the “SReST” project, which connects partner regions through joint development and tourism initiatives.
During her stay in Malinska, the Consul General had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Croatia, tourism organizations, and business associations, including Irena Perišić Živadinov, President of the Kvarner Tourist Board, and Martina Pernar, President of the “Pag Cheese” Producers Association.
The participation of Serbian representatives at this event contributed to the promotion of the cultural, tourism, and economic potential of Western Serbia and to the strengthening of regional cooperation.
